In this position, he leads and manages all day-to-day activities related to the sales and catering sales functions with a focus on the group market. Prior to joining the Grande Colonial, Leo spent more than 16 years working at another La Jolla hotel property where he worked his way up from a Banquet Captain to Director of Group Sales. He is a native San Diegan, bringing to the sales team a wealth of knowledge about the San Diego and La Jolla markets. A graduate of San Diego State University, Leo holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics. He and his wife Julia live in Eastlake with their 2-year-old daughter, Juleana, where they enjoy good food, wine, sports, exercise, taking advantage of the San Diego lifestyle and, of course, staying current on hospitality and meetings industry trends. He looks forward to building long-term, mutually-beneficial relationships with the customers of the Grande Colonial hotel.
Corporate & Travel Industry Sales Manager
Jesse Kincaid has been a member of the San Diego hospitality and tourism industry for the past four years, holding a variety of positions in both operations and sales. She joined the Grande Colonial team in 2015 as Corporate and Travel Industry Sales Manager and has consistently demonstrated a dedication to serving the hotel’s local and global clients with their business travel needs. Further feeding her passion for travel, Jesse spent over two years in Southeast Asia living and traveling on her own to far-flung destinations. During this time, she taught English in Jakarta, Indonesia, and founded a start-up company based in Cambodia where she organized unique travel experiences for small group tours. Her return to California brought her to the Grande Colonial, a place where she can best put her personal and professional experiences to work. While not working, Jesse enjoys taking part in the local “San Diego experience”, discovering local cuisine at out-of-the-ordinary restaurants, experiencing other local boutique hotels, and exploring the region’s attractions, including live theater, and the many local artisan markets. She also enjoys reading and soaking up the outdoors by taking quarter mile swims with the sea lions at La Jolla Cove.

Prior to joining the Grande Colonial, she spent more than a decade working in training and management positions for a variety of restaurants. A native of San Diego, she studied at The Art Institute for Advertising. While not working, Crystal has a passion for pursuing a healthy lifestyle. She enjoys working out at the gym, doing Yoga, experimenting with healthy cooking and eating and discovering fine wines. She also has a love for music and sports, particularly the San Diego Chargers, after whom she named her dog, Charger. But what she is most passionate about is spending time with family, to include her 7-year-old son, Kingston, whom she refers to as “an amazing little person”. Crystal leads a dynamic banquet team that focuses on exceeding expectations and creating truly distinct and memorable experiences for each of our clients.
