Director of Sales
Leo Lopez joined the Grande Colonial team as Director of Sales in March of 2016. In this position, he leads and manages all day-to-day activities related to the sales and catering sales functions with a focus on the group market. Prior to joining the Grande Colonial, Leo spent more than 16 years working at another La Jolla hotel property where he worked his way up from a Banquet Captain to Director of Group Sales. He is a native San Diegan, bringing to the sales team a wealth of knowledge about the San Diego and La Jolla markets. A graduate of San Diego State University, Leo holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics. He and his wife Julia live in Eastlake with their 2-year-old daughter, Juleana, where they enjoy good food, wine, sports, exercise, taking advantage of the San Diego lifestyle and, of course, staying current on hospitality and meetings industry trends. He looks forward to building long-term, mutually-beneficial relationships with the customers of the Grande Colonial hotel.
Catering Sales Manager
Sabrina Patterson has worked in the Hospitality and Food & Beverage industry for the past six years. During this time, she has held a variety of management, and operational positions to include: Hostess, Food Runner, F&B Supervisor, Event Coordinator, and Catering Coordinator. In these positions, she developed a passion for interacting with guests, as well as planning, and executing extravagant, and remarkable events, ranging from Bat and Bar Mitzvahs, to corporate meetings, and wedding celebrations. While not working, Sabrina spends her time painting the town red with her two-year-old American Bully. As a northern San Diego County native, she enjoys going to weekly local farmer’s markets to continue feeding her knowledge of food product quality, and trending demographic selections. She also enjoys practicing Yoga, going on hikes, and relaxing by enjoying San Diego’s abundant ocean views. Sabrina focuses on creating truly memorable events through precision to detail, flawless execution, and ensuring every guest who comes across the Grande Colonial feels like a true VIP.
Corporate & Travel Industry Sales Manager
Stephanie Fielder is a native San Diegan growing up on Coronado Island. She began her career at the Grande Colonial in 2012 working as a front desk agent. She then joined the hotel’s Reservations department before being promoted to her current position on the sales team. While she holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Design from the University of California at Davis, her true passion is travel, which led her to the Grande Colonial. Her goal is to travel to all 50 states in the United States and she is well on her way to achieving that having visited 47 of the 50. She has also traveled abroad extensively. Stephanie calls herself a “nerd at heart”, enjoying science fiction and fantasy books, movies and television shows.
