Alex Tarantino joined the Grande Colonial team as Catering & Event Specialist in 2026. In this role, she works closely with the sales, catering, and banquets teams to coordinate events and ensure seamless communication from planning through execution.

Alex brings a diverse background in hospitality, catering, and event services, having supported meetings, banquets, and special events with organizations including the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance, Edlen Electrical Exhibition Services, the Town & Country Resort, and Crowne Plaza San Diego. Her experience spans event logistics, guest services, food and beverage operations, and client support, giving her a well-rounded understanding of creating memorable guest experiences.

Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management with an emphasis in Meetings & Events at San Diego State University, Alex is passionate about hospitality, event planning, and destination experiences. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, exploring local farmer’s markets, traveling, and spending time with her family and her beloved dog, Sancho.
