At the Grande Colonial, we are committed to preserving the character and heritage of our historic La Jolla hotel while taking thoughtful steps to reduce waste and conserve resources. Our environmental practices include recycling and waste separation throughout the hotel and NINE-TEN Restaurant, helping us reduce the amount of waste sent to landfills.
We appreciate your participation in our recycling and waste-separation programs during your stay. By following the designated recycling and waste guidelines, guests can help us reduce unnecessary waste and use resources more thoughtfully.
As part of this continuing commitment, we ask for your participation in our San Diego recycling program, in accordance with the City of San Diego Ordinance (O-2008-30). You will find recycling containers and signage markers throughout the hotel, as well as recycling bins in your guest room. We ask that you separate recyclable items and remove all food and liquids from inside containers before placing them in the appropriate recycling bin.

Note: Please do not place trash or any items not listed above inside the recycling bins. Please know that plastic grocery bags and newspaper delivery bags should not be placed inside recycling bins. They can only be recycled at a grocery store.
