The photos don’t do this place justice. This hotel is so special, older with lots of character but recently renovated and in such amazing condition. Rooms were spacious and windows open to let in that amazing sea breeze. Service is truly five stars, everyone who works here was delightful, and parking is included in the resort fee where most hotels in this area charge extra. Location couldn’t be better, walking distance to everything and stunning views. Make sure to eat at the restaurant Nine-Ten, it was our favorite meal of the trip! We can’t wait to come back and stay again!

We arrived a little before 3 pm for check-in, and to our surprise, they graciously accommodated our early arrival by upgrading us to a room on the fourth floor with an ocean view, instead of the standard two queen beds. From the valet service to the hotel check-in, their professionalism and service were exceptional. The staff greeted us by name with friendly demeanors, which made us feel very welcome. While the room wasn't as spacious as we had anticipated, it was well-appointed with everything we needed: two queen beds, a walk-in closet, a small refrigerator stocked with sodas and bottled water, and a coffee maker. We were delighted with the stunning ocean view from our room. The room temperature was just right, and the hotel's location near La Jolla Cove meant that everything was within walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel, and it was evident that my sister, who is a frequent visitor, was recognized and appreciated by the hotel staff.
